Insurance Reimbursement
As a licensed professional counselor many of my services are covered under most insurance plans. I am an in-network provider with PHCS insurance plans. If you are in any of these plans, it will be noted on your insurance card. With all other insurance plans, I am an out-of-network provider. Please check with your insurance carrier to see if they offer out-of-network mental health benefits.
I will assist you in submitting your insurance claims. For in-network and most out-of-network plans, I will submit your claim directly to your insurance carrier. In some cases, it will be necessary for you to submit the claim. In these cases, I will provide you with a monthly statement that you can submit directly to your carrier. I will assist you in utilizing your health insurance benefits, although payment of all professional fees is ultimately your responsibility.
Many clients prefer to pay out-of-pocket to keep personal mental health information private or because some insurance carriers limit the number of sessions you can have in a year.
